Well Its in and it's awesome. Some trim panels aren't finished yet but here is a sneak peek The tablet is held in place with a magnet in front of my EQ and HVAC controls which solves the relocation problem outright Also had an 8 inch subwoofer built in with the battery box, fits well It's not quite done, but I love it and it sounds great. __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term | | | 05-13-2014, 07:53 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2011 Location: SoCal Posts: 702 | Nice progress! So when is the photoshoot, full page page spread with article? As for that 95 ti, finish the Eurotary completely first! Then post it up on some forums, go to some meets, get a autox or track day in with it to really see how it drives, get your work recognized! Ti's with cool swaps need more exposure. Apparently some solenoid related to the sequential turbo system is stuck closed which essentially doesn't allow the secondary turbo to com online around 4500 rpm. So cam will be replacing that and essentially sprucing up the vaccum lines. As soon as that's done I'm am going to take a day off and he is going to teach me how to tune it through the pfc. Then it's off to paint __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term Last edited by Crashaddict; 07-11-2014 at 05:12 AM. | | | 07-11-2014, 10:49 PM | #11 | Member Join Date: Mar 2014 Location: Colorado Posts: 32 | this is neat. I want more vids! I don't want my nexus in my ti, but i do want it in my '84 jetta. do you have issues with it dying? even with a power inverter and the original charger it just drains as it is charging if I use it for nav or speedometer. nifty tip: use the ulysse spedometer app. it doesn't need data to be a gps speedometer, it records 0-60 times, even can tell altitude. | | | 07-19-2014, 05:05 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: SoFla Posts: 482 | Quote: Originally Posted by Random_task this is neat. It allows for usb fast charging which somehow allows you to charge a more than the typical 4 volts through a car charger 2. Allows the tablet to act as a usb host which makes the playing music directly to my speakers possible as well as expanding storage exponentially via small flash drives. 3. Puts the tablet into deep sleep upon power loss which also preserves battery life on the tablet It has died on me once, but it was because the car was sitting for about a week doing nothing. Other than that, the Rom is pretty fantastic at keeping the unit charged And I have used ulysse speedometer, it's on the tablet, I also have a persistent Speedo widget that displays my speed on the home screen which I like __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term | | | 07-19-2014, 05:19 PM | #13 | Member Join Date: Mar 2014 Location: Colorado Posts: 32 | Sweet. I never use my tablet anyway, might as well try a room. Thanks! | | | 07-19-2014, 05:30 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: SoFla Posts: 482 | Yeah, there is tons of stuff out there on how to do it on forums like xda developers and reddit r/ carav so I would start there. Pm me and I will send you my email(my notifications for tapatalk are unreliable) for any questions on my setup. Software wise, the walkthroughs online are far more comprehensive than I could ever be and I just basically followed the instructions. As far as the skin I used, that's a wallpaper made for the purpose of car mounted tablets I found online and modified with Photoshop. I think the guy has a VW one as well but I would have to dig through my bookmarks when I get to my computer (on mobile now) __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term | | | 07-23-2014, 05:37 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: SoFla Posts: 482 | Got a new windshield installed today __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
