Instead I replaced a coolant piece at the rear of the block and put a new VCG in place (though need to re-do that this weekend). | | | 08-03-2009, 03:39 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | you didn;t need to remove the S/C again to do that, did you Pat? | | | 08-03-2009, 04:05 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | Supercharger only needs to be removed when the stock intake manifold needs to be removed. I didn't have to remove it for VCG or rear coolant pipe. Stupid VCG gasket... Apparently I put it on wrong again because oil is squirting out the lower side (pass) and ruining my fun! I'll try to re-do it once again. The funny thing is, the old VCG gasket that I replaced was made in 2003... so obviously it was already redone sometime. Dammit! I wasted two days for nothing and now I have burning oil all over my exhaust headers. I will get this right, and when I do... I will do some M3 crushing. | | | 08-03-2009, 12:20 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2009 Location: Burlington, NJ Posts: 560 | Quote: Originally Posted by pnosker Supercharger only needs to be removed when the stock intake manifold needs to be removed.
