Can you drive like that? Or do you raise it up? Any videos of her? Are you gonna Paint your moldings or keep them black? __________________ | | | 07-09-2010, 02:20 AM | #5 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | I like the way you used the "beauty line" on the side of the car as a border for the two colors and continued the silver around the front wheel well. Did you add a black line between the 2 colors, or is it just the shadow of that beauty line? When you put on the new moldings, will you paint them or leave them black? __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! Did you paint the door handle? Something's wrong with your springs... you should look into that. tbw __________________ 1/1997 M44 ti M-Sport Schwartz II | | | 07-09-2010, 04:44 PM | #7 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Quote: Originally Posted by blndweasel Something's wrong with your springs... you should look into that. | LOL... I tried to approximate the black/gray color from the front molding, but I don't know how much darker new moldings will be. I've never liked painting the moldings to match the rest of the car because it makes the car look a lot "thicker" without that horizontal line. Plus it looks like the owner/painter was too cheap or lazy to mask or remove the moldings prior to painting. No offense intended, that's just my general opinion on color-matched moldings. Still... I'm not crazy about the look with moldings either. LOL I think you'd need to keep the moldings really black, or make the stripe a dark gray to match the moldings rather than black. OK... I'll go obsess over something else now. LOL __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! It might also be interesting to make it a reflective silver. And I'm sure that somebody on here is thinking "lime green." Hmmm... might have to try that out too. LOL Hey dguzzardo22... let me know if you want me to make other color options. I've got it set up so that I can easily change the color and the thickness of the line for both the stripe and the moldings. __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH!
