Default Warning Light looks like (o)

I am looking at purchasing a 1999 sport edition, but it has a warning light on the dash that looks like (o). The check engine light does not come on when this light comes on. What does this light mean?

If it looks like a tire with a dustcloud at one end, it's the ASC (Stability control) light. That would need to be fixed if it's not just fixed by pressing the ASC button.

I was about to say the brake light. If it's one of the lights on the bottom right of your cluster it's your brake light. It could mean you need new brakes or that the sensor is bad. The sensor is on the front drivers side and there is another on the passenger side in the rear.

If it's your traction control light that is in the middle of your cluster panel and it's orange.

Ah..How much do brake sensors cost? The light is right below the tach--first in the 3rd warning light box.

the senders seem to go for less than $15 on ebay.. but you might want to look at your brake pads too while you are there.

You can buy one at the dealership for $9-10 or from someplace like www.bavauto.com which i'd recommend.
