Default 1997 318ti w/California Top For Sale

I'm selling my 1997 318ti California Top on eBay, no reserve. Below is a link to the listing as well as the description from the listing.

I'd be happy to answer any and all questions regarding the car.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...%3AMESELX%3AIT

This is a very rare California Top version 1997 BMW 318ti, Boston Metallic Green with tan interior. I'm the third owner. This car has the 'Active' package which includes a driver-side airbag, leather steering wheel, sport alloy wheels, cruise control, on-board computer, and a remote entry/alarm system. Other optional features include heated front seats, automatic transmission, and the California Roof.

All parts on the car are original BMW, no aftermarket parts were used as a replacement. The radiator was replaced around 90,000 miles. A new water pump and alternator were replaced at 120,000 miles. Just recently the catalytic converter and muffler were replaced this past September (this alone cost over $2,000). All electronics are in working condition including the canvas roof. Maintenance has been kept up to date. Synthetic oil has been used since I've been the owner. The car comes with all the original manuals and paperwork including the leather BMW notebook to put it in. This includes the driver's manual, supplementary owner's manual, BMW accessories catalog, etc. I even have the original card with the radio code and the original window sales sticker. It also comes with the original BMW audio cassette that explains the features of the car. I'm also including an original BMW car cover (see pictures).

The gas gauge works intermittently(this has not been a problem because the trip computer still calculates miles remaining). The airbag warning light has been on since I had the car detailed a couple years ago (I'm assuming a guy tripped a sensor while cleaning the seats). There is a small leak somewhere along the A-pillar on the driver's side. Water will drip on the dash occasionally from there when it rains. This has never caused any issues since it's a small leak. The plastic handle has broken off the glovebox but does not effect it's operation. The front driver's side seat has some excessive cracking in the leather, but no rips. The leather wrapped steering wheel is worn at the 10 o'clock position. The passenger side window regulator needs to be replaced. In the last two weeks the car has been running warm if left idling more than 10 minutes. The temperature gauge raises slightly but will drop down when the car gets going again. Overall the car runs smooth and I've had no major issues with the engine other than this recent heating issue. It's been a rock mechanically. Cosmetically it has some wear.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this car since I've had it. It's gets great gas mileage. It's one of the smoother and more comfortable cars for driving on the highway I've ever driven. The sound system is fantastic (it has a six-CD changer in the trunk). The rear seats fold down for loads of storage room for such a small car. The on board computer is handy for calculating miles to empty, average speed, and miles per gallon. The retracting canvas roof is really unique. Its just like a full length sunroof...a real nice feature for warmer weather. I've received nothing but compliments on this car. I'd keep the car for myself if I had a place to put it.

The car must be picked up/shipped within 30 days of the end of the auction. There's no reserve on this vehicle. Good luck bidding.
