Default Info / Car Help

Hi everybody, I drive a rx7, Ive been a rx7 driver for many years, My car is old, its constant problems, and it dont look good. Im looking to get a more current every day slightly sporty car for normal driving.

Ive done some looking around and the 318 ti kicks serious arse, It looks nice, I hear it handles awsome and seems to have decent power, Im very interested in selling my rex and buying one, this is where i come into the problem at hand...

Im having trouble locating online resources, Im trying to find out about all the trim models for the car, im aware of normal 318, 318 c, and 318 ti. My questions are:

Is the 318 ti a single model or does it have sub models? (If so if you could point me to a resource or explain the diffrences between the models, thanks)

Is the car rear wheel drive and does it come with lsd / posi?

Can someone throw power figures in my face, quarter mile specs etc...

Are the options all preset for the models or do they have optional ones for each model set??

Im interested in getting the model with the m3 kit on it, but I belive I read on here somewhere all 96+ 318 ti's come with this??

What is the redline of the car, does the redline vary between models??

Do power figures vary between manual and auto?

And finally, which models have that big sun roof that looks awsome!

My aim is XxLegalizexX, my email is ninjathefist@hotmail, feel free to contact me anytime to talk about this car, anything you have to say about it I definetly want to hear, and id just like to thank everybody in advance for the help, from what ive seen of the pics some of you have some very nice cars and alot of you seem to know your stuff, browsing your forum is a pleasure.

I can't help too much, I just got my ti a few months ago, and I am still learning, however, I can answer two questions.
1) the ti is rearwheel drive
2) the sunroof you are refering to is called a california sunroof and can be very hard to find. However, I would recomend you wait until you do find one, because they are awsome. I own one, and I'm glad I didn't settle for a car without one.

The site is going to move to another host soon and I will update the homepage making it easier to find what information I have compiled.

OK cool, could you help on any of the other questions? One more question after reading your page, the only models of the 318ti would be normal, sport, club sport, and california top.

Normal being most
Sport being some,
Club sport being very rare
California top being very rare?

Thanks for the help.

Normal is actually called the Base.
Club Sport was only 1995.
I'm not sure when the California Roof or Open Air Rood was first released. Then it was called the California Edition. In 98 the California Roof became an option.

I would say the California Roof is rare for the simple fact that I don't see many around.
I had a 98 Sport with a California Roof until I wrecked it in 2000.
