When cleaning up the garage, and tossing out the mostly junk that came with the car, I found a set of OEM rear mud flaps. Cool enough. I went to install them, and noticed something odd. The mud flaps have two clips that go up the side, and one hole for a horizontal attachment into the bottom rear edge of the bumper. Unfortunately, my M-style bumper only has two vertically orientated holes aligned with the bottom rear edge. Am I missing a bracket or something at the bottom of my bumper near the tire? | | | 02-01-2014, 01:58 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2013 Location: Lakeland, FL Posts: 229 | Someone must know the answer to this, or can go out into the garage and shoot a quick picture of the same area on the M rear bumper. Thanks! | | | 02-01-2014, 04:59 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | I'll take a pic of mine in the morning for you. __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org! I am guessing I am missing some type of inner fender liner although I couldn't find a part number for a rear liner on realoem. | | | 02-01-2014, 06:56 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | rear off my 95 ti, no rear flaps My 97, has rear flaps Looks like you are missing the inner liner at the least. Odd, I looked as well and didn't find the rear liner in RealOEM either. I did find the front liner. I hope this helps. I bet the ti fender liners are ti specific. Those should be fun to find to fit the M-spec bumper :-( Thanks! | | | 02-01-2014, 07:35 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2013 Location: Lakeland, FL Posts: 229 | Anyone know a part number or know if they are plastic like the fronts? | | | 02-01-2014, 09:20 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2013 Location: Lakeland, FL Posts: 229 | Too good links. Thanks! I searched eBay but clearly wasn't searching for the right terms. I will contact a couple of the OEM places and see if they are still available. | | | 02-01-2014, 09:41 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by wake74 Too good links. According to Penskeparts.com it's still available. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
