Default Vanos?

Just wondering if VANOS ever came on tHE 318's and if it does much?

Vanos is BMW's version of Variable Valve Timing similar to the Honda V-Tech. It basically allowa for advancing and retarding the cams while the car is in motion.

It was offered on some of the Euro 1.9Ls, but the gains were negligible. For the money it would cost to add that you could probably get cams, if not a DASC.
