Question.... Are any front fenders swap-able with the TI. | | | 05-19-2004, 10:06 PM | #2 | Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: simsbury ct Posts: 38 | the ti is a four door from the front bumper back to the end of the doors headlights mirrors fenders all are considered four doors it is an odd car took me all kinds of searching to figures this stuff out then i found this place would have wished this was my first stop when i got the car would have made life alot easier hope this helps you | | | 06-11-2004, 01:53 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Tulsa/Ft Worth Posts: 102 | Yup, consider the car a 4-door with a nice rear-end I recently had my entire front end body panels replaced, including hood and everything. You can get some really good prices on the net if you go for aftermarket parts instead of BMW factory pieces. Really good prices as in $25 for a fender.. $100 for a hood. The fenders I bought fit perfectly, but there is a noticeable gap because the hood wasn't made to exact size The fenders I got are fine tho, so if you want to know where I got them let me know and I'll look it up. __________________ uhm...yeah...Vrooom | | | 06-23-2004, 09:57 PM | #4 | Member Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: Manchester/ England Posts: 42 | Speaking of 2 door 4 door issues; are the Compact sideskirts the same as 4 door, 2 door or specifically compact? I put m3 side skirts on mine but they where part numbers specifically for the Ti not the m3.. | | | 06-25-2004, 01:16 PM | #8 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT! Posts: 3,156 | Skirts are all the same. M3 coupe, M3 sedan, all 3 series (non-M) cars and the ti. The touring (wagon) MAY be different, but I'm fairly certain it's the same length as well. There are 2 different M3 skirts- the ones we all want, and the 'other' ones (stock on the ti sport) which came on the M3 Luxury models (as well as the 'slats' in the bumper cover) and no little useless splitter on the bottom of the bumper cover. The Z3 cars are different (in length, never mind shape). If the wheelbase is the same, the skirts will work. I'm not suprised at the different part numbers for the same part... How about different parts with the same part number? The door moulding badges (if turned over) all have the same part number imprinted on them, regardless of what image is shown on the other side. The P/N is for the black plastic, not the actual badge. So, Long story short (too late) the P/N shown on the part MAY NOT be the part number of the part. The P/N for these badges is TOTALLY different than the number shown on the part! Bottom line: if you get used M3 skirts (as I'm sure many have done here now) they will fit. Ask those who have them. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
