Default 355mm BBK!?

Just a teaser for now...

These factory floating/cast rotors and a set of 4 piston calipers will be mated to my E46 wagon over the next few weeks. I will also have these kits availiable for the ti as a bolt-on affair.

The 355mm kits do require 18 inch wheels but I will also have a 315mm kit which will allow the use of 17 inch wheels with a slight modification to the calipers.

I weighed everything but the pads on the stock vented ti set up and the 355mm Porsche/Brembo Kit.

Stock ti vented rotors 14.5lbs
355mm CSL rotors 18lbs

Stock ti vented calipers with carriers 8.5lbs
Porsche/Brembo 4 piston calipers with custom carriers 7.5lbs

So far I am only giving up 2.5 lbs per wheel for a lot more stopping power.

Over the next few weeks I will start offering several "add your own caliper kits". I am still working on what will be included but so far I can say for certain, rotors, pads, lines and brackets will be included. I am working on a BMW to Porsche pad sensor to retain the proper function of the pad wear indicator. The most expensive kit will be less than 1k, considering what a 355mm kit from stop tech or brembo costs... this is a very attractive alternative.

For those who have the M3 set up already I will offer a kit for use wth factory E36 M3 rotors but it will require some milling of the calipers. I plan on using a set up like this on our M50 club sport. If you have 18 inch wheels I would suggest stepping up to the 355mm kit.

If anyone has questions feel free to ask!

I am interested in a kit, is there one available for the "non vented" ti owners? I can't stop my rig anymore

That is the beauty of these brackets... you do not need to change your spindles. You will literally be able to unbolt your solid rotor set up and bolt on* the 355mm kit.

*Just as with the Stop Tech and Brembo kits some minor modification to the spindles is required.

At the moment the only rear setup I can offer is for those running M Coupe rear trailing arms.

I have been swamped over the holidays but I will be finishing up the install in the next week or so and posting some pictures.

This brings up a slightly unrelated question: do the M Coupe trailing arms fit the ti subframe or do you need the whole subframe/trailing arm assembly?
