I just bought a kit for a m3 that I'm planning on fitting to mine next winter. Yours is looking good!

it is a fibreglass body kit with front wings, rear arches, bonnet, tailgate, front and rear bumper. it should help to keep the weight down. i have used e46 bottom arms to widen the front and 25mm spacers on the rear

i found the easiest way to fit the parts was to keep the steel bonnet on the car then fit the fibreglass wings before fitting the fibreglass bonnet as everything was slightly different in size and took a bit of lining up.
i had to cut quite a bit of the rear bumper which should make it easier when fitting to a normal e36

Oh nice! Quick idea for the rear so you don't have to use the spacers, I have wanted to this a long time but have yet to get around to it.

Use 6cyl-nonM trailing arms and axles for the rear, it will push it out by roughly the same amount as the e46 LCA will (roughly an inch?), its a oem way to widen the 318ti! I have done the e46 LCA before and hope to do it with the rear z3 trailing arms sometime in the future too.

i can't do that with the ti as it has e30 suspension on the rear and the e46 bits won't fit

Sorry for an unclear message above!

What I meant was:

FRONT: e46 LCA (Lower Control Arms) - which you are doing already.
REAR: z3 non-M 6cyl trailing arms/axles/diff - might as well do the medium diff (differential) swap at the same time. For example the rear end of a 2.8l z3, just take the rear end and swap it on. It will be wider then the 318ti.

The e30/318ti/z3 all have the same trailing arm rear suspension! So z3 coil overs also work great for us!

thanks for that, unfortunately where i am, the z3 rear arms are really hard to get. even the standard compact arms are in short supply. i will keep a look out as i would rather not use spacers. a friend of mine has the delarge wide arch kit and he runs 100mm hub extenders either side at the rear which must put a lot of force on the already weak arms.

What about craigslist, junkyards, ebay, forums part outs, I am sure if your looking and patient you will be able to find a set.

Maybe just occasionally glance around for a set within your budget so you can eventually swap them on?

btw is that an e46 M3 style front bumper?

i am not sure about the front bumper as it came with the kit, its based on the delarge type but not anywhere near as wide

sorting the interior out as the engine needs to come out again before i build the front end up
