I just thought I'd correct you, several months ago Eaton began a new production run of the blower used in the DASC so Downing Atlanta has began making the kit again, it's still a very good deal though since new ones sell for $3800

As the Craigslist advert states, it is a complete functioning kit in a running car that is being parted out. We will sell you the entire kit as it is in running form, so that you can make it run in your car. If you're looking for a cheap boost in power, this is it! We'll even throw in a couple of new belt idler/deflection pulleys.

Any idea of miles on it? Last maintenance if any?

I have the same questions as pnosker; I'm very interested in purchasing the kit, but would like to know more about the mileage on it and such.

I spoke with the original owner of the car when it was on Craigslist, mentioned that the blower had been on there for 75K and that Schneller Motorsports installed it for him as well. The car was a higher mileage car.

$1695 is a good price for the kit... someone get this please.

no MTCE really needed for it... may wanna buy 2 new idler pulleys ($40 from DA) - and thats it. major rebuild will most likely be neccesary way after 100K - and its at most $500.

Group,

Thanks for all your interest. At this time we have a substantial deposit from a prospective Ti owner in Florida. If the deal falls through we will re-post. This kit will truly make this Ti owner happy, it's plug & play power at a cheap price! We even threw in a new set of deflection/idler pulleys & a new belt.

Thanks again for your interest!

Schneller

Great price and good luck on the sale. One thing to note, don't expect to rebuild this yourself. I tried to find the parts to do so last summer and could not find a single retailer or company that was willing to sell me all the parts needed to rebuild it properly. Although most of them were more than happy to offer to rebuild it for me. That just really made me angry! I'm pretty sure an aerospace engineer is more than cabable of handling this task, but apparently they don't feel that way. The main problem rebuilding these units is the teflon coating on the rotors. It chips off and you either have to replace the rotors or find someone who can recoat the teflon on the damaged rotors. Neither of which is cheap. You can replace all the pulley's and bearings in the unit, but if the coating is still chiped it's pretty pointless since you're losing boost there.

I'm pretty sure the rebuild parts are approx. $450-$500, labor is additional IIRC. Also, in my expierence they need about rebuilt every 50-60k, not 100k.

Good luck with the sale and bump for a decent price.
