M3 dash versus sedan dash, support bar ?

I have read every swap thread and the one thing I have not found is when doing the sedan dash versus M3 dash(or regular coupe I imagine) it seems the support bar the air bag mounts to may be different on the M3.

I have a perfect M3 dash so prefer to use it though I can get a sedan dash for cheap at the local yard. I have to go there and get the support bar but they only have sedans, no coupes. I guess I can just get the bar as they have a car with the dash out and see how it goes, I can cut and weld if needed to make it work.

BUT, if anybody knows for sure, please let me know
