I have e46 m3 wheels on mine 18 x 8 fronts and 18 x 9 rear... Fronts tuck nicely rears are quite extreme for a stock ti... Rolling fenders on there own might not do it... But i am running a 554hp sbc and need some meats top plant the ponies so wide body it is! But if you are going for a stock look and not into serious body mods i dont think they would be the rims of choice!

Thats pretty aggressive for sure... about the same as the e-46 m3's on mine look

hey guys finally finished the project. i put the M roadster rims on my 318ti. i had to get brand new bilstein shocks with coilover springs. it looks pretty solid.. looks like you can do after all. you just have to modify it a bit.. ill post up pics soon.
