I had the same problem before on my 318i and was solved by replacing the sending/fuel pump unit. The car has two sendings units, the right one is the sending/fuel pump unit, the left one is just a sending unit. They work togheter to provide the signal to the gage in the instrument cluster. Knowing this i removed the rear seat lower cushion and discovered that a wire from the right unit conector was broken, fixed it and the gage came back to life. Seems like on a previous cushion removal/installation (maybe for cleaning) the wire was caught between the cushion and the car frame and was damaged because of that. Take a look at your wiring, it could be damaged without blowing any fuses. | | | 06-29-2006, 03:44 AM | #6 | Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Panama City, Panama Posts: 30 | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
