Deal dude. Bimmerfest east is a definite if you ever make it over here. Mint however, is always up in the air. Not sure when exactly, but I play to reinforce my rear similar to the way you did. And e85 is on the horizon for me as well.. Just a matter of time. | | | 09-30-2012, 02:56 PM | #228 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Minneapolis, MN Posts: 307 | Quote: Originally Posted by bubela I do have power steering. Just a matter of time. | New steel linkage will be here wednesday and more road pwnage to come!!!! The goal is to get lots of footage of it so I have something to look back on this winter!!! Nothing crazy is gonna happen this winter, pretty much getting cleaned and parked. That e85 switch should let you crank that boost up some, and have a little quicker spool up. More power all around with some added timing! Bimmer fest would be awesome, I'm thinking me and Finniks should get a double flatbed trailer and a big truck we could haul them bad boys out there and have some fun in Mexico! | | | 10-23-2012, 11:30 PM | #229 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: PA Posts: 283 | Do you have a shot like this one, but from underneath? Before and after the installed cross member would be cool. I have a ti on the lift right now that I'm taking apart and experimenting on. Figure I'd hack this one before I hack in to mine. Looks like I might have to take some of the floor up after all, but I'm really trying not to. I want to keep it as stock as possible, and not doing a roll cage (yet?). EDIT: Dude.. After looking at your pictures, and then at this junk ti, I had an idea! Thanks for documenting this so well. I'm going to add the 3/16" 2"x4" like you did, but keep the floor. Cut small slots in the floor, and weld the plate that I already added, to this 2x4 with flat stock to tie it all together. Should be strong enough to handle 700whp, and maintain my stock ti floor, with minimal cutting. Thanks! Last edited by bubela; 10-24-2012 at 12:01 AM.
