need to find DISA Cable plastic coolant connector under intake blew over the summer on my girlfriends M44. kudos to her for shutting down immediately and saving the motor! Car got towed to her grandparents where I set up shop for the day to change out the part and get it home. Unfortunately on reassembly I had an extra cable without a home. I hadn't marked them so in my rush couldn't figure out what in the world it was supposed to plug into. Searched every inch of the bay for an open plug, nothing to be found (since the manifold was safely tucked away outside of the bay, I didn't happen to notice the open DISA plug). I hoped the car would run to get it home and trace the cable back by the codes thrown by pending CEL. car started right up thankfully. Sure eough DISA code pops up. didn't really mind having DISA disconnected but now CT emissions are due soon and I need to get it plugged back in. I would even go for DISA simulator resistor but that would either require finding the cable or tapping into the wiring harness elsewhere to trick the system. trouble is the cable is hidden somewhere underneath the manifolds. main question: Where exactly does this DISA cable originate? If possible I would love to be able to fish around for it without having to take off one or both intake manifolds. With flashlight and mirror and I can't find it under there. any help?
