Hi folks, Could anyone shed a little bit of light on an immobilser problem I have. I recently bought a 1993 E36 325 TD. The car didnt come with the remote key fob but alarm/immobiliser werent activayed so i wasnt worried at the time. Unfortunately they have decided to work now. I bought a new key fob and got it programmed by BMW (Only because my alarm system is the 1 previos to 3G EWS system ie solid state non rolling code type). This is great having spent £100 getting that sorted the bloomin works the remote central locking and alarm but wont deactivate the immobiliser. It not appears my immobiliser have given up the ghost and i either need to replace it or bypass it. Can anyone shed some light on where the immobiliser unit is located and possibly provide some form of wiring diagram/schemaitc? Thanks in advance Phil | | | 12-15-2006, 02:41 AM | #2 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: COLUMBIA S.C. Are you able to tell me the colours of the two big wires please and from what I have been able to gather, there should be 2 circuits broken through the immobiliser. (Generally the live feed to the fuel pump and also the live feed to the ECU) I had the glove box out a number of days ago to recode my alarm system but nothing jumped out at me to state that the immobiliser was there. My local dealer thought it should have been under the steering column but having looked there - nothing.
