he means can you change over the entire front sheet-metal and headlights to make it look like a normal E46 from the front, I'm curious to know this as well, I love everything about the E46 ti's except for the headlights

AWESOME POST!

I love the E46 TI, I just wish we got them here. I would pick up one of those in a heart beat if I found one for sale in the states..

BUT, unlike the E36 TI, everything else IS interchangable with the sedan or coupe.
Uh, that looks like an answer if I've ever seen one...

With enough time, money, and tools you could make the front look like whatever you wanted it too. But he clearly states "...front clip cannot interchange with the e46 sedan!"

I'm fairly sure he thought Philly meant changing just the headlights, or just the bumper, not the entire front end

you strike me as someone who's very active on BF.C

^ nope, never heard of it.

Usually when someone refers to a "Front Clip" they ARE talking about the entire front end, you know, thats why why call it a "Front Clip." Maybe your not familiar with that term, its kind of a body-shop term. It usually refers to the front fenders, bumper, headlight, hoot, etc, and all being 1 piece...

Only having seen e46ti's on the, net, for some reason they don't look as wide as my e46. I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time)...

Actually, the e46 TI (1750 mm) it's a little wider then the sedan (1739 mm)! The fenders, hood, headlights, etc cannot be replaced with the ones from the sedan as stock parts. But as one of you mentioned above, anything is possible with the right set of tools! I wouldn't see the point for an operation like that! The TI has something of it's own! It would look awfull with "the front" of the sedan!
I also have to say that the M pack brings a radical change! The TI e46 without this pack lookg completly different!
Bellow are some pics of another 325ti without m pack, so you can compare!

The third pic should be your inspiration for your 318ti. Nevermind you started with the body kit already. Any lambo doors while it's in the shop?

believe me, I would love to have them, I just need a couple hundred dollars and I have to say, the m-tech package does make a big difference on the look of the E46 ti, if the headlights were one-piece I would love to have one

Lambo doors are so played out that even Lambo's don't have them anymore!
