So I come to you lot to ask what you think would be the best way to achieve this (don't say buy another car, I already have a 650ps supra on the way...)? Now I know how hard it is to extract extra power from an NA engine but I was thinking a cold air intake for the engine, a freer flowing exhaust unit (over standard) and...??? So yeah past an exhaust and CAI i'm not really sure what else i can do, maybe a reflash of the ECU or something like that? Also what brands make decent CAI's and exhaust systems for the E46? Thanks for the help guys! | | | 07-28-2010, 12:55 PM | #2 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT! Posts: 3,156 | I was about to rip into you for not searching (and maybe a search would help) however since you have an E46, there may not be as much information on it here as we would like to have. I might suggest that you look in the UK and other areas of this forum outside North America. Only because we never got the E46 ti here, so have little first-hand knowledge of it. You can probably hook up with some of the local members of this forum, and perhaps gain some more information. To answer your question, in NA mode, you are on the right track. Most guys who do not add FI to their E36 tis go the route you are suggesting. Exhaust, reflash and intake all help a little bit on just about any engine. | | | 07-28-2010, 08:11 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Regensburg, Germany Posts: 584 | Also, you could go on bf.c and probably get more information on the e46 318. __________________ Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 Turbos are great!...Especially the higher mileage m42's & m44's...A BUDGET setup should be good for atleast 400rwhp...I was running 60psi on stock internals and homemade parts... | | | | 07-28-2010, 08:31 PM | #4 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT!
