This is pretty out of the ordinary, but maybe you guys have had some experience in this and would like to help out.
I go to school at Saint Louis University and am a rower there. Although we compete at a Division 1 level, rowing is not an NCAA sport due to title 9 limitations. This means that the our team of full time students is also responsible for fundraising, budgeting, and running all other team operations. We receive a small amount from our student government organization, but it is not nearly enough to cover our boathouse fees, travel fees, and all other expenses that come along with the sport. Our team currently does not own a trailer, which is obviously a necessity to travel to and from regattas in order to compete. In the past we have been piggybacking off of the independent St. Louis Rowing Club's trailer, but they have not been very accommodating and in order for our team to progress and grow we saw it fit to make our first priority purchasing a trailer.
Our executive board has set up an online fundraiser where you can easily and securely donate to help us reach our goal. Any donation amount is gratefully accepted. A small $5 donation from each member would be a big benefit for our team.
