Next remove the glove box. There are some screws as well then it slides out.
Next pop out the AC switch and the clock, then there are two screws under the AC knobs. Then the face plate comes off.
it will also make it much easier to take out the dash if you remove the steering wheel...you need a
torx 25 top for a small 1/4 inch rachet
19mm socket ( i think)
-
Turn the wheel so its rotated though 90 degrees
feel behind the back of the wheel for 2 small holes. In here are torx screws that are a bit fiddly to remove
afted they are loosened, and this is with the key OUT of the ingnition just to be sure-- lift the airbag out towards you , but gently to not risk pulling a wire.
Behind the airbag, you can see the orange connector for the airbag. unplug.
also the brown wire for the horn contact. unplug
once the airbag is out, take the 19mm rachet with a small extension, and using the steering lock ,undo the bolt.
After the bolt is off DO NOT lift off the wheel , as its still connected from behind to the rest of the car..
Now comes the annoying sh*t.. the covering under the steering column must come off, so you can find the orange and black conectors.. this is what conects you to the rest of the car.
they are fitted in a clip that must be rotated 45 degrees to remove. From there you can sepperate the 2 connectors and lift out the wheel.
Be careful not to peel out the slpi ring contact wires , or rotate the slip ring too much from center, or the ring cableband can snap under full lock
Then is all over
Next unscrew all the screws in the center console, and unplug all the switches and that comes out.
Next you'll probably need some help...you just need two people to lift on the dash and it should pop out...it is not easy, but with some muscle it'll pop out.
After you take the dash out you'll be left with the support bars and the airbag. There are two very long bolts under the airbag that need to be removed then unplug the orange plug connecting the airbag...next it'll slide out with a little pull.
