Default HELP Question: What's my 1997 BMW 318ti Sport Manual 50k worth?

I have a 1997 BMW 318ti manual shift with 50,2xx original miles. Car is FLAWLESS! Inside and out, mechanically needs nothing, ALL SERVICE RECORD documents. Original window sticker (was almost $27k). Clean title, 2nd owner. Have roof rack, ski rack, bike rack, factory wheels and winter (rims and tires for both sets). No modifications. Silver exterior with dark interior. I have someone that wants it very badly locally (I live in Dartmouth MA), but I don't want to sell it short either as I thought of maybe throwing it on ebay as I don't see any like mine anywhere in the USA, so I figured I'd ask some of you more educated enthusiast your input. Appreciate it!

Thanks!

Markets and pricing are fluid as everyone knows. Ask 10 people and you will get 10 different answers.

Is yours a base, active or a sport package?

A car similar to yours sold here in Denver about a year ago, a 1998, Red, Sport (good), Automatic (not good), 48,800 miles (great!), 1 owner (sweet!), it was on both Craigslist and ebay and sold for $6500 very quickly.

The manual shift makes your car more desirable. I would put a higher price on it and see if you get any interest. $6500 would be the bottom floor for me personally.

I can see why you “have someone that wants it very badly locally” because your car sounds like an extremely nice, unmolested example of a 318ti, and those are getting harder to find with each passing year.

Good Luck!

Thank you, Altitude! Mine is a Sport package. I am not looking to be a pig, just don't want to short change myself either. I appreciate your input!

I'd swag it at 5800 to 6800 depending on the day...

Well, depends on how long you want to hold off on selling it.

I'm usually a person who sells things cheap, because I need money for something else.

However, if you have the ability to hold on to it, just throw a number out there couple thou over blue book if you really feel it's worth more.

See what people think when they look at it, can't hurt right!?

Good Luck! Remember, your a sales man! Imagine what a dealer would gouge out of this car if they had there hands on it!!!!!

Sold for $6k. I think, maybe, I could have gotten $7k ish (give or take) but there were no hassles, chasing and waiting for buyer to come up with money. Thank you very much for your input and remarks.

Well that is good news for you jbenti, Happy to hear that.

That was a fair and decent price for both buyer and seller.
Was the person that purchased it the one that "wanted it very badly locally"?

Make sure to tell them about the 318ti.org!
