Default Drilling out a regulator arm..what size bit is best?

Make sure you use a center punch and some type of lubricating oil. I used a (solid cobalt) 1/4" bit, but had to follow up with a unibit and a pair of longnose pliers.

I forgot to post pics of me doing this (they're on the desktop at home). Be sure to clean up the metal shavings when you're done.

I used a 6 mm drill bit.

I have a Snap-On air-powered drill and good bits but once I got nearly through the rivet it just spun, so I ended up using a chisel. I think if I ever have the opportunity to do that hateful job again I'd just start with a chisel, knock the rivets' heads off, and not bother with a drill.
