Exclamation Car stutters @ 5200-6000 rpm??

My car hesitatates to rise in rpm when it gets to around 5200 rpm... any reason why this would happen?

codes say 02 sensor and speed sensor....\\what is a speed sensor and what is the cause of one to go out??

I think the speed sensor is on the diff. I would guess the O2 sensor is your problem, as the speed sensor would probably just screw up your speedometer. You can try cleaning your o2 sensor, sometimes you can prolong the replacement if you clean it out really good.

Shift before you get to 5k. Problem solved.

If your check engine light is on and your code is reading an o2 sensor, you're gonna have to change it anyway. Not cheap, but real easy.

There's no guarantee that this will fix the problem, but if you have to do it anyway . . . you still have to do it.

When's the last time you changed the fuel filter? Since you're under there it might be a wise idea as well.

If that's not the problem, I'd take it to a competent mechanic. Could be an issue within the intake manifold itself, or a fuel delivery problem.

Check the O2 connection 1st and then replace that O2... because it is never that easy when it's a $120.00 part. but you should know that some spark plugs work against the quelch(?) (sweat burn spot) of each piston. I use the factory plugs (Bosch +2), but of course they are purchased at Pep-Boys Auto Parts store which is 1/3 the factory cost. The wrong plugs can cause a high RPM missing. I agree with the fuel filter. Just change it! You may have a malfunctioning valve on the variable intake runner system. As for the speed sensor, They rarely go bad, it's usually the connections corroding. Good luck.

Having read the rest of this thread...I'd say plugs, plug wires, O2 sensor or the ignition coil module are the likely culprits...the first two are easy and relatively inexpensive to replace...O2 sensor and ignition coils can be very expensive, so you are probably better off paying a shop for an hour of their labor to diagnose it correctly first...
