My 95 sport's diff is making a shhhh noise, i think i've killed it. oops. Found a 3.64 LSD for sale for £245.00. Also an e30 M3 LSD 3.25 for £325. which would be better? i would presume the 3.64 as i would gain acceleration, but the m3 LSD might provide better handling? i dont know. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/114256.htm I would love to hear some ti owner's opinions. also, would the rack in the advert be any good for a ti. I was planning to do a z3 rack swap next year. | | | 12-30-2006, 05:18 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | e24 3.46 is better IMO, but with the 4cyl the 3.64 will not be too bad. More civil on the highway than the 3.73. | | | 12-30-2006, 08:59 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: lancashire, england Posts: 300 | Quote: Originally Posted by Panzer_M e24 3.46 is better IMO, but with the 4cyl the 3.64 will not be too bad. It was amazingly quick through the gears but a little high on the RPMs on the highway (4000 @ 80mph). I removed it when I went to the M50. My 3.64 is available if you want it. $200. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 01-02-2007, 04:16 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | He's in England......... Go for the 3.64. It'll give you better acceleration and LS. -Paul | | | 01-02-2007, 08:24 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: lancashire, england Posts: 300 | Quote: Originally Posted by mooseheadm5 You probably don't want the 3.25 because of price and the fact that it is a taller ratio than a stock US 318ti (don't know about UK tho.)
