I spent a few hours having fun in the garage this evening. Got the rtabs out and swapped out the ebrake cables. I cut the larger part of the rtab with a sawzall then applied heat to soften it up. They came out fairly easy. Gotta find some copper anti seize to install the new ones.

Dig it. I can't wait to start my build...it's a few months out. My car has 296,xxx miles on it. my wife said I couldn't touch it until it has 300,000 on the clock. At ~20 miles per day...it'll be a while. lol

I gotta do that too!

So I was messing around with the diff cover. I had a friend store this subframe at his garage when I first bought it because we were to do the swap over there. Long story short. He delivered the subframe with a broken fin😡

I tried to fix it last night using some two part epoxy. That didn't work that well so I used contact cement. Anyone else have that funny feeling that it's not going to hold. What else can you do with cast aluminum?

Anyway, I went to install the diff bushing and noticed a sleeve. I guessing this sleeve was part of the old bushing? The new bushing will not fit with the sleeve. How the hell do I get this sleeve out now??

Gave the car a quick bath in the garage today. Also started to drop the tranny, it was giving trouble breaking it loose from the engine. Had to call it quits as wifey is getting home from work soon.

Close, they do have star in the name 😄😄

I ended up buying new pistons as they were only $16...

Just waiting on my rear subframe to get back from garagistic, then the rear will get put back together. Can't wait!

What's Garagistic doing? Sub-frame lowering?

It's a fairly inexpensive gasket, but important to do whenever the trans come out, check bf.c
