NY FS - Feeler - 1 owner 1998 318ti with bad head

So I bought this from my friend with intension on fixing it but the head is off and i'm debating if i should buy a new head and fix it or just sell it.

The price is $2500.
Near Middletown, NY.
This car was just detailed (compound and wax and motor compartment).
The interior is mint condition. Almost unreal for the mileage.
The car has 162k miles.
It was always maintained at Prestege BMW in NJ. I have every single service record. My friend was a nut with this car. Case in point, last year he had BMW install a new exhaust (cat, muffler, hangers, O2, etc) and the bill was $2800
He's not a car guy at all but he has money so they always did the work there.

He drove it overheating and melted the head. The cylinders and block look good. One owner car!!
