wiring diagram for kickers and sub amp hey, i was checking the wiring diagrams in the bently manual. and page ELE-260, the Audio wiring diagrams are WRONG. as in, they probally got a wire set mixed up. basicly, the diagram is for the speaker setup on a 1998 318ti with the 10 speaker system setup. the front speakers in the kick are suppose to be on the separate sub woofer amp correct? well, they only have the front right speaker on the sub amp, and they have the left front speaker on the normal hifi amp, and the front left low range door speaker as the amp (so a kick speaker, and a door speaker are suppose to be on the sub amp) i am guessing this is an error? i want to make sure. i already have after market amps installed, but i did not install them, the previous owner had the work done (i just upgraded them to better amps) but i noticed now that my midranges arnt even freaking hooked up (i wasnt sure if they were broken, or just hard to hear) basiclly, i want to wire together my front door speakers together, and gain the extra set of 2 wires in each door. i need a set of free wires, and the easiest way it to steal them.. but after checking the wiring diagram here, i was like,, ehh.. i dont think something is right. just to get this right, both front kick speakers are suppose to be on the stock Subwoofer amp right? i am going to sell those amps as well if i can figure out how to pull them out.. so they will be free if you pay shipping =] the correction should be, coming off the sub amp: 8: blue/red (front right kick) 9:Blue/brn 10:Blue/brn (front left kick) 11:blue/white --- also, i am not sure yet if its an error, but they used the same color code twice for the speakers, which doesnt make it easy. are both the Front right midrange and front right kick the SAME SET OF WIRES??? blue/red (front right kick) blue/brn blue/red (front right midrange) blue/brn how the heck am i suppose to find the right on?? it has to be an error, i will report back on that one.. i think the diagrams are pretty haphazardly put together.. haha.. hopefully not as bad when it comes to like the major electrical work.. |
