Yeah baby !!
well 2 years and 1 car later, ive done it
For those who were around when i started on about it, ive now gotten my arse in gear and done it. Although its done on my E90 320i, the principle is the same
Parts,
KN filter
Induction hose P/n 13711743320
A few hose clamps in the right size
Black electrical tape
Screws and panel clips
Tools,
Air tools (saw, sanding wheel, air pistol)
Rachetset
Drill with bits
Scissors
So , start with the hose itself
It belongs on an E36 compact 1,9 from 99-2001
Its insulated and waterproof, so perfect for the job
The hose has a funnel on one end and a tidy plastic finisher on the other
Some pics
The plan was to find a way to fix it to the fron bumper for air, but that didnt seem to want to happen
I decided to keep the funnel, and was pretty happy when i found "the spot" for it to live
