i ended up purchasing this lip...best looking 1 i have seen for a non m bumper so i hope it turns out being what i imagine it would look like on my car...as of now i have two options...lightly sanding it and priming and painting it flat black to go with my black out grill and black trim on the car...or going to a body shop and getting matched to my cars color...how much ruffly does it cost to get this done for?..im in Ontario btw...or can i buy the paint in a aerosol can my self and do it my self ...any suggestions....i wouldn't mind it flat black but after painting it would i need to put on a finishing coats like a clear coat to avoid chipping the paint?

i would say find the closest match to your car color and paint it with the the rattle cans. If you take your time and sand/prime it will come out fine. You can spend the couple of dollars on the paint and even if it doesn't come out good you can take it to the body shop and get it done professionally.

Exclamation

I buy my paint for these type of projects from Paint Scratch.com

http://www.paintscratch.com/

Make sure you mark the option for "Flex" additive for your color coat and clear because the lip is a urethane product and is a little flexible. I have the Paint Scratch.com paint products to repaint my side skirts and mirrors. The color match is perfect (you need to know your code) and it is very durable. Just remember that non-calatlized urethane paint takes about a week to fully cure. So don't slap it back on the car too soon or the bugs and chips will ruin it.

Cheers!

I'm sure it's gonna cost more than a hundred bucks to have it professionally painted. I hope you have other mods, this lip is going to look silly on an otherwise stock car.

thats for the reply..yeah it would look silly just slapped on a completely stock car..i changed the grill to a black out 1...changed the corner lights to the white clear ones..and the tail lights are white and red and the side markers are white also..im confident it will look great black or same color as the car

cool. take some pictures of before and after. you can probably mount it yourself. get your hands dirty and figure it out... its better to do things on your own because then you're more proud of it and then you can say you do things yourself. but if you can't paint then get it done but at least try to do something yourself. its not hard.

nope, im going to wait till spring to get it painted and put on... i figure there is not point ruining the paint in these harsh weather conditions where im located...best off getting painted and mounting it when the weather is better..but i will post pics with it on and off my car when its painted...also how it looks not painted. thx

as promised i put the lip on..i had it sanded primed and painted to match my grill. 70$ from a professional shop(my buddys)

bit of a hard time installing it at first because the slots in the mesh werent cut out on the lip so i used a grinder to make the slots so it would push further in.
