Silver, 5 speed. New price of $4250 The good: only 68K miles, sunroof, cloth interior, tinted windows, alloy wheels, traction control, keyless entry, alarm, CD w/aux input. I've owed it about 5 years, and have replaced the tires, all belts & hoses, and front brakes. It runs great overall, and has been very reliable. The not so good: my mechanic diagnosed that the ac evaporator is dead; minor hail damage -- I tried to get a decent picture, but the dings are too shallow to show. A casual observer won't notice; paint starting to fleck on hood; windshield cracked and needs replacing; front plastic grill is off, but in my garage; fabric starting to sag a bit on front pillars; dent on the passenger side rear pillar [see pic] -- a windstorm blew over our portable basketball goal . . . . Main reason for selling: my wife doesn't like to drive the car, and is against putting money into the ac fix. I'm not up to replacing it myself [even tho the part is only $100] and it's too hot to drive half the year here [Little Rock, AR]. | | | 06-27-2009, 05:00 AM | #2 | Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: Rochester, NY Posts: 57 | VIN? | | | 06-27-2009, 07:38 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Rocky Mountains Posts: 610 | Awww women! | | | 06-27-2009, 02:23 PM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Jacksonville, FL Posts: 10 | vin # and if there are any leaks creaks or other lil gremlins that the car may have, looks pretty nice from the pics | | | 06-27-2009, 03:04 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: little rock Posts: 24 | My Ti's VIN VIN = WBACG7328TAS97013 No gremlins, but a windshield washer line has come unhooked, so only half the windshield gets washed at present. | | | 06-30-2009, 12:16 AM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: little rock Posts: 24 | Please save me from ebay!!! Can you show me pictures of the windshield, sagging cloth, etc? | | | 06-30-2009, 03:01 AM | #10 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: little rock Posts: 24 | Sagging cloth The sagging hasn't progressed too far at this point. The windshield has a long crack, almost completely top to bottom, that is directly in front of the driver. It's so right in front that you can almost look right past it, but not quite. Amazing what a piece of gravel will do over a bit of time . . . . | | | 06-30-2009, 03:05 AM | #11 | Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: Rochester, NY Posts: 57 | Any idea what that would price out at? The windshield replacement that is. | | | 06-30-2009, 03:41 AM | #12 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: little rock Posts: 24 | Windshield cost Quote: Originally Posted by MyShadeOfGlory318ti Any idea what that would price out at? How much tire tread is left? How much life is there in the clutch? Suspension and steering? No check engine light? Any known issues? I'm actually looking at this car for my girlfriend, so I'd be fixing everything myself and getting it in working order for her. Tell me what I'm getting myself into friend. haha | | | 06-30-2009, 04:55 AM | #14 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: little rock Posts: 24 | Working order? Well, technically everything is in working order except for the ac -- all the rest is cosmetic, and the car runs great [but hot as all get out down here!]. But to address your questions: - I replaced the tires, so there's still a lot of tread;
- My mechanic at last check said there was plenty of clutch travel left, so that shouldn't be a problem;
- Suspension and steering are fine as far as I know. Again, my mechanic said the only problem he knew of was the ac evaporator;
- There is no check engine light on, though the light itself works;
- No other known issues, except this one: the thingy [technical term] that engages the keyless entry fell off, so until you put a new thingy in under the hood to compress the switch, that feature doesn't work. It would take a little ingenuity to figure out exactly what would work, but the parts cost should run less than a buck.
Want to give me a call to discuss further??? | | | 06-30-2009, 05:20 AM | #15 | Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: Rochester, NY Posts: 57 | Thanks for the info friend. I haven't even talked to her about it yet. haha I'll ask her about her budget and such. I'll get back to you soon. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
