I have a bunch of parts, including an aluminium z3 2.8 block & crank and a complete M50. I was thinking I'd just use the 2.8 block and the rest of the M50, with the 325 ecu, but I realized I could use the 2.8 crank instead with the M50 head. If I did the 2.8 block and crank, which OBD1 BMW ecu should I use? 325? M3? I'd like this beastie to be theoretically smog legal when I get done... __________________ Andy Chittum - Mad Man Motorsports | | | 11-04-2005, 04:49 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Portland, Oregon Posts: 484 | 413. __________________ S50 Swap, Euro 3.5" HFM (MAF), my custom Chip, Cosmo CAI, Custom Exhaust, 6 Cyl. I assume the 2.8 will need more air and fuel compared to what the 2.5 it's expecting to hook up to would, but again, guessing here I'll need some kind of custom chip to compensate...or at least get the most out of the engine, correct? __________________ Andy Chittum - Mad Man Motorsports | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
