Default What size speakers and where??

I am looking to get all new speakers in my 1998 318. I have been trying to find out exactly what size speakers i need and where in the car they are located. If anyone could help me out that would be great. And if anyone has any stores/websites they recommend please pass them on as well.

a 98 318 what?
318i or 318Ti? i'll assume 318ti based on the site that your posting on.
do you know what base system you have at the moment?
i.e. some cars have a 6 speaker system with no amp. others have 10 speakers and an amp.
look in the kick pannels (1 5.25" speaker) at the feet of your passenger, in the doors (1 or 2 - a 1" tweeter and another that i'm not sure about) and on the sides of the shelf (1 or 2 - a 4t" special sized speaker and i think maybe another tweeter).
there is a good writeup on replacing the 4t" with a standared 4" on this site. have a look. also you can get adaptor plates to allow a larger (13cm) rear speaker. i have them but havn't installed them yet.
also, i think it's possible to replace the front 5.25" with a 6.5" speaker (also what i plan to do).
