Why do you love the ti? Hello, Fellow BMW enthusiast. I have had several BMW's (89 325is, 95 318is, and a 93 325is), but I finally got my hands on a 98 ti yesterday. I am extremely excited. I really don't plan on doing any major modifications because I am a student, and my previous 325is sucked up all my money. I just plan on enjoying the ti with a few mods. Enough of that. What I really want to know is " why do you love your ti?" I love all BMs in general, but what makes the ti so great? give me some feedback. | | | 02-26-2009, 08:41 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Rensselaer, NY Posts: 254 | The biggest reason I love my Ti is the california sun roof, I've never owned a car with anything like it, it's awesome. I also love how great it drives, again I've never owned a car that handles this well. On top of all that I just love the way Tis look. As far as I know they are the only e36 model with unique body panels besides the z3. __________________ | | | 02-26-2009, 08:53 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: Dallas,Texas Posts: 32 | I Agree. I love the body panels and the sporty look. | | | 02-26-2009, 09:33 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Austin Posts: 3,059 | I love the ti for the fast 4 cylinder engine, gas saver, and it's a hatchback like no other. __________________ Come get a ti-shirt Quote: From the e30 M3, evolved the e36. They were "Keepin it Real" when they introduced the 318ti ClubSport in '95 and the 318ti Sports from '96 to '99. After that... well nothing else really matters. ~Jess | | | | 02-26-2009, 09:40 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: Greensboro, NC Posts: 234 | i love that fact that it is a hatchback and that it corners effortlessly | | | 02-27-2009, 02:31 AM | #6 | Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Wellington-New Zealand Posts: 78 | It's just cool, cuddly and compact. | | | 02-27-2009, 02:35 AM | #7 | Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: Dallas,Texas Posts: 32 | Cuddly like a panda bear...Looks cute but it is still a beast. I'm a good six hours from my car most of the year because of school, and every time I get to head home I'm sucked in again by how fun it is to run through first, second, and third gear. It's really a treat...despite the lack of power. __________________ | | | 02-27-2009, 10:47 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: central ct Posts: 503 | i like the Ti because it cost me less than a civic, is more 'professional' of a car for my age/line of work (i'm no longer a "boy racer"), gets decent mileage, is pretty fun to drive and relatively cheap to maintain. That said, it's NOT fast. and it doesn't get GREAT milage. __________________ 2010 Genesis Coupe 2.0t track | 2000 Dakota Former 1995 318ti owner | | | 02-28-2009, 01:41 AM | #11 | Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: Dallas,Texas Posts: 32 | I agree. Fully loaded with a much more powerful turbocharged engine and leather interior.. I enjoy driving my Ti so much more. Had her out this weekend for the first time in three months.. fell in love all over again | | | 03-10-2009, 06:24 AM | #13 | Member Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: mexico Posts: 43 | well. let's see. I 've had mine now for 4 days, haven't even used a full tank of gas yet. I love mi TI because its fast, its a 323 (Mexico) and its shifts very smoothly, tons of power and it looks cool,it really hugs the road compared to my Jetta which used to throw us all voer the place on curve. It's unique since it has no stupid trunk ( a cooler full of beer still fits though HEEHEE) .I love the color I got, deep blue. But I think what I love most about Bimmers is the sound of the engine, it just purrs like a TIGER!!!!!!! | | | 03-10-2009, 07:14 AM | #14 | Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: New Zealand Posts: 49 | I love my Ti because it was one of the really few RWD hatch back cars. I love hatch back cars with their long nose and short tail shape. Owned 4 diff hatch backs but they are all FWD. I was looking at Porsche 944 before I bought my Ti, 944 is a bit too old and unreliable and BMW M power are just awsome. __________________ 13MW/// | | | 03-10-2009, 07:18 AM | #15 | Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: Dallas,Texas Posts: 32 | Funny I turned down a white 944s for that same reason. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
