Default M SPORTS SUSPENSION

I have a 1998 318ti with the M SPORTS SUSPENSION. I am wondering if Bilstein sports are the proper front struts for my car? The car is a low mileage example with stock M sport springs.

The Bilstein sport part # is a s follows:

35-044024

Thanks

Found this:

My car seems lower than .5" lower than stock, but maybe the old struts are sagging. I think the HD units suit my needs the best.

Your stock struts are probably worn out and leaking so the spring is doing the majority of the work.

Turner Motorsports is having a sale right now and most large mail order sites will price match. They have KW's with free shipping and 10% off. That prices them at about the cost of Bilstein Sports and H&R Sport spring combo.

I have that combo in my E36 M3 and dislike it. The rebound rate is too much for the spring. I planned to have it softened at some time just have not yet. As my M3 has not been registered in 3 years. We were allowing the mileage to drop overtime, as my wife was using that as a commuter car after she sold her Audi A4 Avant 2.0T great car but hated the clutch, too soft.
