I'll be watching this thread. __________________ '95 330ti CS w/sr delete, S50USB30, cams, 24# inj, Conforti SW, Euro HFM, Samco Silicone Intake Boot, BBTB, Euro Oil Cooler, JTD CAI Duct, RE DMS exhaust, RE Tranny mounts, CF Valve Cover, LTW flywheel/Kevlar sprung hub clutch, RE SSK, 3.46 Finned LSD (M6) , M3 tranny, Brembos, RE Wheel Studs, SS brake/clutch lines, CF interior, Rear Headrest retrofit, Tilt Steering retrofit, 13.5 lb DynaBatt in rear, LED interior/footwell lights, ZKW HID, Headlight Aim Control, Rear fog light w/cluster indicator, CF 3 Aux gauge pod, BMW Traffic Pro/Alpine MP3-CD Changer, Staggered LTW wheels, '95 M3 steering rack, VIS CF Hood, M3 LTW Strut Bar, TCK SA coilovers, Red LTW Motorsport Seatbelts, OEM Fire Extinguisher, Z8 Starter button, Auto dim rear view mirror w/ Homelink/Compass, PDC, Rear Sun Shade, Euro Gauge Cluster w/oil temp/shift light , Headlight Washers, "Motorsport" Door Handles, CF Grills, French ZKW Fogs, Euro dash bins, Power Lumbar Support is next, Coming e39 M5 interior light, Bimmer Magazine 8/2007 | | | 09-18-2006, 06:46 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | i have heard of people on here talking about how nice it would be to have electric rear windows, but not of anyone ever doing it. so let us know if u are succesful and make sure to take lots of pictures. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 09-18-2006, 06:57 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Southern California Posts: 456 | what about converting a coupe m3? __________________ SPEED IS NOT AN EQUATION CONSISTING OF DISTANCE DIVIDED BY TIME. But i think he had a problem with the bracket for it or something and could not get it installed. Yes i'm sure it can be done but i don't think it's worth the hassle. Exspecially for windows that don't stay open once you pass 45 mph. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 09-18-2006, 07:18 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Quote: Originally Posted by Tyler Yes i'm sure it can be done but i don't think it's worth the hassle. Is it possible that your latches are not working properly and do not lock into the open position? | | | 09-18-2006, 08:20 PM | #9 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Quote: Originally Posted by mohaughn What do you mean? But as soon as i hit 45mph and start accelerating more they close in a maater of seconds. I never really open them cause-A they are in the back seat & B they have no use to me. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 09-18-2006, 10:12 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Bremerhaven, Germany Posts: 977 | Quote: Originally Posted by Tyler ... This thread comes up about 2x a year but no one to my knowledge has thought of the e46 as a donor. Leave it to a brit! Why would you open those windows? __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 09-19-2006, 01:52 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Laguna Beach Posts: 357 | Want em. Why would you open those windows? | I open them to exhaust the hot air inside when parked in the Sun. I don't have a sunroof, so this is my ventilation system when stopped. Electric rear windows would indeed be trick. | | | 09-19-2006, 10:12 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Bremerhaven, Germany Posts: 977 | I experience severe wind pumping with just the sunroof open when driving in town at 55-60 km/h (30-35 mph). Opening the vent windows kills that. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
