Default Trailer / Tow Hitch Needed ... Pls help

Good day to all:

Please do not ask why I waited until the last second to post this, but Im in desperate need of a trailer hitch for my 1998 318Ti either permanently or even temporarily.

I live in Mesa, Arizona, outside of Phoenix but am traveling to Reno, Nevada THIS WEEK and need to tow home a small trailer from Reno to AZ.

I know that the Curt Z3 hitch (#11748) fits the 318Ti, i.e.:

http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthrea...ighlight=hitch

Finding one used etc., is all but impossible and while I normally do not mind spending $$$ for the good of my car, Im saving up for the eventual transmission replacement and / or California sunroof replacement ;^)

Actually, I had a DIFFERENT tow vehicle lined up for this idiotic trip and that fell through about 36 hours ago.

Anyway, if there is ANYONE between Phoenix, Arizona and Reno, Nevada that possesses one of those unicornesque #11748 hitches, I would be overjoyed to BUY it or RENT it or BORROW it, depending.

My time frame is, of course, extremely short.

A long-shot, I know, but this is my effort to inquire on this forum. Thanks to all in advance. Take pity on me, as I was born slightly retarded and it has all been downhill ever since ;^)

Regards,

Bill
Mesa, Arizona

PS: In my feeble attempt to garner sympathy, I am a disabled combat veteran, a retired Infantry Captain, an unlikely Leukemia survivor (thank you, depleted uranium exposure!) and a father of two idiot boys, one of whom is unnaturally fixated on Edsels.

2003 Audi Allroad Quattro (for sale if you had it, youd be happy)
2004 Subaru Baja Turbo (retired rally race car for sale as soon as I put it back together)

PPS: I also have a HUGE cache of 1st generation Ford Econoline NOS/NLA parts plus THREE vehicles (one 5-window pick up and two vans, one of which is a 3/4 ton beast) that someone unceremoniously DUMPED on me that is also for sale as soon as I get all the titles sorted out.
