I think their a bit loud for my taste. I kept the stock exhaust, because acording to the dyno, all you gain is a louder exhaust.

There was not an exhaut for the stock ti which made enough power to justify the cost in my eyes.

I think the Supersprint was the best in the test I saw (for HP gain). The Supersprint sound is good too (to me).

None of the ti exhausts are cheap...

If anyone needs it, I have a complete perfect condition exhaust from a '98 ti for sale.

I think the Borla is way too loud too.
The sweetest exhaust I have ever heard on the M42 or M44 is by Racing Dynamics.

I'd like to spend up to $1200 improving performance a little and sound a lot. My BMW mechanic said there was an article published in which 12 exhaust systems were compared. He said none increased power and some even reduced it, but it there were many different sounds & volumes that could be obtained. Any one have a reference for this article? Sound valid? Thanks
