Default Replacing shocks and springs

My car has 130k miles on it, and i was wondering how much it would cost to replace both the shocks and springs as my ride is starting to feel a bit bouncy.

I will have about 400-500 dollars and am trying to decide on whether I want new rims/tires or new suspension. If 500 or so seems unreasonable for a whole new system, please let me know

as long as your current tires are in decent shape, i would second maurolin's suggestion of bilstein sports. for that price, you would need to do the work yourself.

new springs will be at least $200 and might be able to be combined with new tires, but i do NOT recommend that. springs are most likely fine, shocks/struts will generally wear before the springs.

if you were going to do coilovers or something later, maybe new rims/tires (which would allow you to do larger brakes and such later too).

or you can get NON sports for about $350 but that's garbage.
Konis are great but Bilstein will outlast konis.

I just want to stiffen my ride a bit, lower it, and i don't quite know about the rims/tires yet. You all said that bilstein sport would be good, I could probably do that work myself (with a bunch of my friends in the garage) but if not, i'll save up a bit more and get it done professionally.

Bilstein sport = shocks AND springs?

Bilstein Sports are just the shocks. The Bilstein PSS System is a spring/shock coilover system.

And putting them in yourself isn't that difficult. The rear ones are tougher than the front, but can all be done in a few hours.

I got the Bilstein HDs for 300 awhile back
Should have gotten sports, I got the car at 90k miles, added them then
now at 145k miles(1 year 4 mn later) I am going to do the Sports with my Vogtland springs.

BTW, Eibach Prokits for our cars are out of production. So any shop that says they can get them beware. I got robbed a few times on this.
