Even the 1990's four spoke wheels with buttons are a major mod.

Congrats on the find. You're lucky I didn't see it.

I bought a euro wheel from a guy in an eBay auction and it was a plug and play swap in my '96. Looks great.

Does that euro wheel have the airbag?

I have been thinking about getting a euro w/ airbag but I didn't want to cause any potential problems with insurance. I know that with most policies if you disable any safety features on the car the insurance company can drop you immediately. I thought since the euro wheel wasn't offered in the US that if I ever got in an accident I'd be SOL.

Yes, the european steering wheels have an airbag. I have the same one but with the tri-color stitching.

Yeah, there are two versions of the euro wheel, with airbag and without. I'm just wondering if installing a euro wheel w/ airbag would be a no-no for insurance reasons. I mean, you wouldn't be removing the airbag, just replacing it with a version that was never US tested or approved...

Good question, although it wouldn't have made any difference in the decision to go with it.
