Congrats on the find. You're lucky I didn't see it. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 10-15-2009, 12:10 AM | #17 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 178 | I bought a euro wheel from a guy in an eBay auction and it was a plug and play swap in my '96. Looks great. | | | 10-15-2009, 12:22 AM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Does that euro wheel have the airbag? I have been thinking about getting a euro w/ airbag but I didn't want to cause any potential problems with insurance. I know that with most policies if you disable any safety features on the car the insurance company can drop you immediately. I thought since the euro wheel wasn't offered in the US that if I ever got in an accident I'd be SOL. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 10-15-2009, 12:24 AM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | Yes, the european steering wheels have an airbag. I have the same one but with the tri-color stitching. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! I'm just wondering if installing a euro wheel w/ airbag would be a no-no for insurance reasons. I mean, you wouldn't be removing the airbag, just replacing it with a version that was never US tested or approved... __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 10-15-2009, 03:07 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 178 | Quote: Originally Posted by spidertri Yeah, there are two versions of the euro wheel, with airbag and without.
