NEED HELP FAST!

I am doing a bunch of mods now. I removed the guage assembly to put a new face plate in. I split the assembly in half, but still can't figure out how the lens comes off the assembly. I don't wanna force it and crack the plastic. Is there something else I must do?

Panzer_M has the answer for you. I know he switched the stock needles with the M3 so he should know the steps.

Eric, you need to twist these. The black post has a white plastic locking ring. Look carefully, use your german, and read the words auf and zu (IIRC). The rotate 180 degrees. Once you see it, it will make sense.

I was able to get that off, but that didn't help. I needed to stick on the new face to the black face part that is part of the plastic bezel. Getting the gauge faces out didn't help. I ended up just putting it back together and forgetting about it for now.

I did get the lumbar support working.

Still have a few wires on the fog light install I can't figure out. If anyone has done the stock retrofit fog kit, let me know.

I bought the lumbar retrofit kit for both my Vader seats. Now I have it wired up on the driver's seat, feels nice. Gonna install and wire up the passenger seat soon, then swap seats since the passenger seat is in better condition.

I suppose the retrofit only works on the vader's then? I sat in my buddies 545i (i believe it was that, dont quote me) and it had lumbar support. godddaaammn i wanted to fall asleep in the thing.

Mine was put in after delivery, so I might be able to help you out.

If you have the sport seats, look for a small plastic cover plate behind the three seat adustments. That is where the toggle switch goes for the lumbar.

I wonder if its possible to make them look like an e46. All orange with darker orange numbers..

If you use REALOEM.com, and look under European versions of the M3 car, you will see it listed under add ons. I think I paid $500.00 for both seats.

I'll dig up the instructions tomorrow, for sure the red/white wire had me confused. Says it goes in the fan connector to the left of the steering column. There are many fan connectors under the steering column. Plus I need to terminate it in the fuse box.

Here is a picture

The red wire has a white stripe. The instructions say it goes to a fan connector beside the steering column. This is the last wire in the car to sort out, then two more wires in the fuse box.
