96 side skirts

Are the 96 side skirts body colored or the gray plastic color? I thought after 95 the side skirts were always body colored. If anyone knows the answer, i would appreciate it if you could let me know.

The reason I am asking is because I am interested in buying what the seller says is a 96 318ti. The following pictures are of the car I want to purchase.

well, its a base model with steel wheels. i think that all base models came with non colour coded side skirts and bumper sections.

So, what is the difference between the sport and base models other than the seats and suspension? Are the front rotors solid instead of vented? The 95's were that way right? What about the transmission and differential?

all ti rotors are solid as standard. the base had steel wheels, non m-tech body styling, normal cloth seats etc. not sure about the other bits. do a search in the forum and you should find a proper definition of what you are looking for.

All ti's from about April 1998-on had vented rotors just like the 328i.
