Thought they would look good on my black ti, pretty easy way to personalize my car. I always thought the back end of the ti was pretty plain, and the tail lamps are so big, hoping that changing them out will have a dramatic effect. I'll post some pics once I install them. | | | 04-05-2005, 11:47 AM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Concord Posts: 326 | Quote: Originally Posted by mickd I couldn't pass up the lenses, just bought them. The back end looks more like a coupe since you cant see the edges of the hatch where they meet the rear lights, which is what I was hoping for when I bought them. Just posted pics in my gallery. Check out my freshly powdercoated '95 Motorsport wheels and M-tech parts which were installed last summer: http://www.318ti.org/gallery/showgal...500&ppuser=863 | | | 05-01-2005, 10:27 PM | #24 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | how well can one see your side/taillights at night? looks good man. and you have both mirrors too, what a luxury! lol __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 05-01-2005, 10:48 PM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Delafield, WI Posts: 471 | The lights are plenty bright at night, directionals could be brighter in the daytime. Thinking about installing some of those "blue" high intensity lamps. You talked about the deer that took out your mirror, I found a good price on M3 4dr replica mirrors, here's the link http://market.autopartsfair.com/bmw-...rs&oem_number= This is probabbly my next mod along with those chrome interior trim pieces. | | | 05-02-2005, 01:47 AM | #26 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | chrome??? chrome? ok, it's your car i guess i'll have to look up the bmw part # for the 4 door mirrors with heat as there appears to be a whole bunch of parts that are generally equivalent to the same part. thanks for the link though. i'm guessing you haven't ordered from here bofore, correct? __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 05-02-2005, 02:00 AM | #27 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Delafield, WI Posts: 471 | No, I haven't. These mirrors were like $60 a week ago from that same place. I think all these aftermarket mirrors are all made by the same company, these are identical to the ones in that link but only $57.95 http://www.autotruckmirror.com/bmw-m3-95.html I think I will buy them and paint them myself, Here's a paint place with matching BMW colors http://www.paintscratch.com/ The chrome trim around the window switches looks real good on a black interior, not sure what else I'm going to get but probably chrome knobs for head/fog lights | | | 05-02-2005, 02:12 AM | #28 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | when were you thinking of getting them? i probably won't order until after i move to denver as i just have too much other stuff to do/work on. it'd be great if you had some experience with the ones you linked to by then. i hate chrome and everything even remotely like it that's why it's nice that people are all different. be nice if you had the $60/each mirrors before the road america outtage. i'm still hoping to be there and then i could check them out and get your opinion. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 05-02-2005, 03:29 PM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Lake George, NY Posts: 338 | wow 60 bucks for heated and powered mirrors??? that seems like a really good price to me! i might jump on those in a few weeks. | | | 05-02-2005, 03:54 PM | #30 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Concord Posts: 326 | Those came out looking awsome!
