Default Torana GTR-X concept car

I stumbled across this. I have never seen this car before but it's beautiful in my book. So clean! Not sure if any of you are familiar with the designer/illustrator Syd Mead but it's so retro-futuristic.

I've had the chance to sit at a keynote presentation by Syd Mead in '07 at a conference in San Diego. He's always been a visionary Great stuff...nice car.

Wow Phil! I never knew that car existed either. Man, that thing would've been perfect. Especially with a drop, clears, stretch and poke. J/K, what an awesome car! It's a shame it never came about

Has way to many features for me. I probably wouldn't get the luxury package. I'd go for a base.

Anywho. It looks nice. But I don't like the front end that much, mainly because it looks like a table with a curve on the end.

Are you a designer by chance? I have a love hate view of his stuff- so clean and perfect but so not real world it's laughable. I'd like to live in a Syd Mead world though for sure.

For those of you not familiar:

That car would still turn heads today, in a good way.

Yes I am Not cars though! His work is inspiring and of course most of it isn't meant to be in the real world That is why his work is mostly in sci-fi movies where they 'can' exist

Sweet, my friend Don is a Pixar animator having started his career as a traditional industrial designer (with a helluva good sketch hand). You hope to get into film?
