I had bad toe out on the rear, it was a bent trailing arm and subframe. The car actually drove fine but my tyres wore out really quickly. As for why it is lower, when i had the incident i ended up on the gutter as well. The front wheel took a hard knock and since then the wheel gap was smaller. It was a mushroomed strut tower, now if yours is at the back i assume its the same sort of thing, except you cant see the mushrooming like you can on the front strut tower only the lower ride. anwyay hope it helps, i got it all sorted in the end. | | | 08-05-2006, 03:49 AM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Pennsylvania Posts: 218 | Sucks about the car... at least it was a curb and not a parked car. Think I might be better off taking it to the dealer? __________________ http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...ata/bmwsig.jpg '95 Hellrot Red 318ti • 18x8" E46 M3 Chromes • Eagle F1 GS-D3 (225/35/18) • Cosmo Racing CAI • Sony CDX-M800 Headunit • MTX Thunder 8000 Subwoofer • Audiobahn A8000T Amp • MTX Sledgehammer 12" Ported Box | | | 08-05-2006, 07:39 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | If you take it to the dealer...its like 87$ to have it looked at...but theyll tell you wants messed up. Just be on the weary side, you never know what theyll try and say is messed up. I can tell you now though, the possible problems could be the axle, axle carrier, trailing arm, subframe, hopefully not the diff. When i saw my diff hangin there when my mom brought it home...i nearly pissed myself. Hope everything turns out well. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 08-05-2006, 05:37 PM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Tampa, FL Posts: 108 | I might have cracked the diff.. I noticed a drop of fluid getting ready to drop off of the bottom of it when I took a quick glance underneath.. __________________ http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...ata/bmwsig.jpg '95 Hellrot Red 318ti • 18x8" E46 M3 Chromes • Eagle F1 GS-D3 (225/35/18) • Cosmo Racing CAI • Sony CDX-M800 Headunit • MTX Thunder 8000 Subwoofer • Audiobahn A8000T Amp • MTX Sledgehammer 12" Ported Box | | | 08-05-2006, 09:05 PM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Quote: Originally Posted by Slynke I might have cracked the diff..
