hey mate, well i had a similar incident but i wasn't trying to drift or anything, just came round a corner and the road was slippery

anyway....

I had bad toe out on the rear, it was a bent trailing arm and subframe. The car actually drove fine but my tyres wore out really quickly.

As for why it is lower, when i had the incident i ended up on the gutter as well. The front wheel took a hard knock and since then the wheel gap was smaller.

It was a mushroomed strut tower, now if yours is at the back i assume its the same sort of thing, except you cant see the mushrooming like you can on the front strut tower only the lower ride.

anwyay hope it helps, i got it all sorted in the end.

Sucks about the car... at least it was a curb and not a parked car.

Alright, I'm back in town now, so I'll have a look under the car when I get a chance. Think I might be better off taking it to the dealer?

If you take it to the dealer...its like 87$ to have it looked at...but theyll tell you wants messed up. Just be on the weary side, you never know what theyll try and say is messed up. I can tell you now though, the possible problems could be the axle, axle carrier, trailing arm, subframe, hopefully not the diff. When i saw my diff hangin there when my mom brought it home...i nearly pissed myself. Hope everything turns out well.

I might have cracked the diff.. I noticed a drop of fluid getting ready to drop off of the bottom of it when I took a quick glance underneath..

Man that will suck. The backplate/mounting piece on my diff broke, but the diff was ok.

Its fun to drift around corners at highspeeds...I wish i hade some video of me drifting in the Ford Exploretr, it was hot! in the Ti...hmmm i have not really tried, the car just wants to stick to the ground.

O ya I forgot...that sucks man; I did something like that in my thunderbird (it worked tho) I was inches from the curb!
