Does anyone have a link to instructions for replacing the thermostat on a 318ti (M44 4cylinder)?

The T-Stat is on the front of the engine, where the 2 hoses from the radiator go, When I relpaced mine, I just put a bucket under my car to catch all of the fluid, unhooked both hoses, then took out the 3 or 4 bolts that are holding it in. Just pull and it will come out - the t-stat and the plastic housing are all one piece, so you have to buy it from BMW - Don't goto Checker, or Napa they will give you just a regular t-stat and that is wrong. Put the new one in the same way that you took the old one out. then you need to add new fluid to your system - dont' use the old that you drained out
