**Updating this post. I've lowered the price on the car to $800. It's been having some engine issues. Car goes as-is. Would make a decent parts car.**

I've had this 318ti for a little over a year now. I bought it last October intending to give it the love it needed and use it as my Daily Driver. Since then I've gotten a motorcycle that has taken most of my free time, so I'm looking to get a car that requires a little less attention.

What I've done:
-Valve cover Gasket
-Spark wires
-Both plastic cooling system connectors have been replaced
-Blower motor
-Driver's side window regulator replaced
-Thermostat
-Windshield washer motor
-Intake Boot
-Air return hoses that run in next to the fuel rail

The bad:
-Front suspension is pretty much shot. Still drive able atm but rides pretty rough over bumps.
-1 of the window regulator clips is broken on the driver side. Window will not go back up when it's put down.
-CEL recently came on (code is P1174 Either an O2 sensor, MAF, or a vacuum leak)
-Rust starting to show through around wheel wells and on edges of hood/doors
-Clutch is getting to the end of it's life
-passenger side exterior door trim is in the trunk. Needs new clips
-1 of the power steering hoses that goes to the reservoir has a small leak (have to top off every couple months)
-Drivers seat has a tear in it

This car definitely has some life left in it if someone is willing to make the repairs. The engine still starts and runs great. The body is in decent shape despite everything. Currently it is 100% in drive able shape. I have used it as my "non-motorcycle weather" daily driver since I got it last October. I also bought a 97 318ti parts car back in March, so I have quite a few replacement parts for some of the issues listed above. Anything you want with the car is yours. Whatever doesn't go is probably going for scrap.

-Set of 17" rims. 2 tires with about 50% tread, 2 pretty much bald.
-Full OEM exhaust in decent shape. (All the way up to headers)
-Getrag transmission (mileage unknown)
-Clutch and flywheel (mileage unknown)
-Aftermarket front shocks(claimed ~30k miles, brand unknown)
-A few other miscellaneous things (Front A-arms, grills, etc)
-Probably also forgetting a few things.

Asking $800 OBO for the car and any parts you want with it. All offers considered.

Has been some pretty crappy weather lately so don't have good pictures of the car while it is clean. Just threw them in an imgur album.

Here's a second album with a bunch more pictures

I would be willing to deliver the car and any parts you want with it for the cost of gas/tolls. Ideally I'd prefer not to deliver more than about a 10 hour 1 way drive from Madison, WI. But I would consider a further drive.

If you have any other questions or want additional pictures, just let me know.

**UPDATE: Car is still available. The pending deal seems to have fallen through.**

Lowering price. Would really like this car to find a new home. Currently it is just sitting getting buried in snow.

Feel free to make an offer.

Hi Rylin,

How many miles are on the car right now? Any chances you could include couple more pictures of the rust spots as well as the engine bay, interior, rear seats, headliner. Any idea why CEL is on?

Currently the car has just over 190k miles. It's up at my parents currently since I don't have room at my place. But I can get a bunch more pictures this weekend.

I'm not 100% sure about the CEL. It had been coming on intermittently while I was using it as my daily driver, and I believe that was due to the fuel tank cap. The light would come on when I was getting low on gas but would go off as soon as I filled up. I was also able to get it to go off a couple times just by opening and tightly closing the cap. This is all just an educated guess however.

Thanks. 190K is up there on the millage. Original motor I'm assuming? Let's some more pics. Do you have any OBD I/II type scanner to run on the car to see what the CEL is about?

Yes it is the original motor. Overall the motor still starts and runs great. Even last weekend when it was -2 F after the car had been sitting for 2 weeks it started right up.

I don't have a scanner but can see if there's a shop in the area that would check the codes for me.

Go to Autozone or similar car parts store. They will do it for free.

I just ordered an OBD II scanner. I'll get the code and some more pictures this weekend.

I got my scanner and was able to check the codes. The only one it's throwing is P1174.

After a quick search it looks like there are 3 causes. Either an O2 sensor, MAF, or a vacuum leak. I do have replacements for both of the O2 sensors, but don't know for sure their condition.

Here's an album with a bunch more pictures. They're not all the greatest since it's in the garage currently.

There are a few small rust spots that are just starting to show through. Behind the rear wheel wells, on the edge of the hood, and the one on the passenger door are the main ones.

The headliner is sagging a bit in the rear as you can see in the picture.

The driver's seat has a pretty bad rip in it. Overall the passenger seat and rear seats are in pretty good condition, as well as most of the rest of the interior.

The other thing I forgot to mention is the exhaust. It had a brand new OEM replacement CAT back exhaust on it when I bought the car. A couple months after I bought it, I was driving to work and it was something like -10 out. The exhaust just sheer snapped off from the contracting/expanding a couple inches in front of the muffler. I sleeved the muffler back on, but it has developed a bit of an exhaust leak. I do have a full OEM exhaust, so this would be fairly easily fixable if the leak is an issue.

Some of this stuff is trivial but I really believe in full disclosure.

I have access to a truck/trailer and would be willing to deliver the car for the cost of gas/tolls. I edited the original post with this but wanted to mention it here also.

Let me know if you have any other questions. And if you really are interested feel free to make an offer.

I apologize, for some reason I missed the email when you posted this, and I haven't been on in a while.

Honestly not sure what it's worth. Have an offer in mind?
