Default 95 318ti advice?

Hey all,

I'm looking to pick up a very clean 95 318ti this week and I'm wondering what the experts think about it.

Specs:

Black w/ gray trim
5 spd
leather seats
power sunroof, seats, windows, locks
Just under 100K miles

Price: 3500 list, trying for 3000

Sound like a good deal?

Also, I know there is a lot of info regarding the specific package (active, sport, etc.) but from the pictures I can't really make out the specifics such as an M symbol of the side view mirror color.

Here's a pic

Thanks!

Looks to be either a base or an active. Could be an active based on the wheels on it.

Good luck with the buy, $3k isn't out of line. Depends on mileage, equipment, and condition. The M42 engine (changed to M44 in 96) is pretty bullet proof and will run a couple hundred k miles no problem.

Get someone to check over the car to be sure it is sound.

Good Luck

Thumbs up

My friend
I am in Brazil, I recommend that you send up the car, look underneath. Ask someone to check if there is some slack in the suspension. See also no damage to the structure and do not forget to open the hood and look at the original rivets to make sure it has not been any collision.
I have a 1995 318ti, M42 engine, I am satisfied and would recommend this purchase if you do a good check-up.
Looking at the picture look good.
Good luck

That car is a spitting image of my car. I have 160k on mine, and it still rips down the road. And that other guy is right about the susp. Check bushings. My car feels like a marshmellow right now. Which is scarry on the freeway...... Good luck
