It would be free and hopefully solve the problem. Where are common areas for head units to be located and what do they look like? | | | 09-30-2008, 07:13 PM | #17 | Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: MA Posts: 76 | I looked under the car and the passenger ground seemed fine. I really think that maybe the POS aftermarket alarm is tricking a computer or something and cutting the power delivery. The only new development is that every once in a while I will again hear a single click. No one has any other ideas? | | | 09-30-2008, 09:43 PM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Globally Posts: 1,162 | Where are you located? I am in the Springfield area. I would be happy to give you a hand but I will not have free time this week. I am flying Friday and will be gone a week. Have you asked on BFc. in the New England area, There are many guys that will give someone the shirt off their back if it warrants it. | | | 11-01-2008, 10:34 PM | #21 | Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: MA Posts: 76 | Finally got around to poking around a little bit more. I removed the ground cable from the negative battery connection and the one on the passenger side rail. Hidden from sight each cable was cut up and the wires were completely corroded. A few of the connections were slightly corroded as well and I filed them back to the metal. Put some new ground cables in and now it fires right up. | | | 11-02-2008, 02:41 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Congrats. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 11-02-2008, 05:29 AM | #23 | Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: MA Posts: 76 | Haha, thanks. It was great to drive the ti again after all these weeks. I forgot what a blast it is. It has inspired me to do some more maintenence and maybe a few mods in the near future. Hopefully I will do an oil change tomorrow and possibly try painting my base bumpers and sideskirts next weekend? | | | 11-02-2008, 04:44 PM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by Kohote Hopefully I will do an oil change tomorrow and possibly try painting my base bumpers and sideskirts next weekend? | I'd recommend it, my stock rear bumper looks much better painted all one color, plus, black is a real easy color to match | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | Similar Threads | Thread | Thread Starter | Forum | Replies | Last Post | 15mm pad install problem | hotdog19d | Suspension | 11 | 04-29-2005 04:42 AM | |
